Facebook Is Updating To A Platform Similar To Twitter's

Twitter as we all know has become a fast growing micro-blogging social network that even Facebook is making their own platform similar to Twitter's after a failed bid.

Twitter Inc. is at a critical juncture now that the popular Facebook Inc. has redesigned its services to, well, be a lot more like Twitter, according to analysts.

Facebook announced late yesterday that its public profiles have been updated to allow users to share their information with an unlimited number of friends. The updates, according to Facebook, can "be brief messages" similar to Tweets or longer ones that include photos and videos. The new Facebook setup will also enable businesses, organizations or even celebrities to blast out information to customers, members or fans. Read More

But I don't really find the reason why Facebook has to compete with Twitter because both are different and are similar in ways. Well, its not a question of competition, its to attract users and make online social networking better. Both are status updaters, wherein members get to update their status as often as they can. Members may also use Twitter application in order for them to update their Twitter status just within his or her Facebook Box. See how my Twitter app looks like in my Facebook Box

Updates will be able to be filtered by groups, specific friends, family, or by applications. A new publishing box for sharing updates will incorporate the ability to add not just status notes, but also links, photos, and videos. Generally, I have nothing against Facebook designing a new homepage, however I enjoy Facebook because of its originality in fetaures and this new Twitter-like homapage project omits this value of originality. Regardless of my biases, this new homepage will allow users to filter their feeds, and thus making life easier for that matter! A thumbs up for Facebook.

Easy Way To Download Music From Multiply

HERE'S HOW!! (Of course, you must be logged on to Multiply to do this)

First, you need the ever-reliable but grossly underrated Orbit Downloader!
It has the Grab++ feature that acts as a sniffer for downloadable links as it is streamed online.

After installing, run Orbit. Right-click on the orbit icon at the system tray.


The Orbit Grab++ window looks like this:



After starting Grab++, go and REFRESH the page where you want to download a song. You can do this by pressing F5. Then PLAY the cute Multiply Flash Media Player.


Go to the Grab++ window. Watch as links fill it! Look for the mp3 file if it's listed. Check it then click DOWNLOAD. (Tip: If you want to download more songs from the playlist, click the next button repeatedly so each mp3 file's link will be listed to be checked. After checking all, you can download them all.  )


A window will appear for each file that you selected. Just click on OK to start downloading! =)


That's it! We can still download but it is so pathetic now.. =)
A TIP: With Grab++, you can download any media that is playable on your computer. That means if you can play it, you can download it! Cheers!

My Facebook Friends Are Addicted With Pet Society

Pet Society is a game application  in Facebook, powered and created by Playfish Social Games. Pet Society lets you create online interactive pets, capable of connecting and interacting with other pets of your Facebook friends who are using the application. With its styling features, you may customize your pets through provided body color, face, hair, and head styles you can choose from.

Among other features include:

Pets must earn money in order to purchase items for their home, including living room items, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom items, and outfit items. These items are bought from different shops elsewhere in the neighborhood.

Pet Society is known for its Paw Points, which represent the level to which your pet has advanced into.  By the time your pet reaches higher paw point levels like levels 35 to 47, the built of your pet's house also changes, so does the number of rooms inside the house.

These cuddly little pets are not only great virtual companions, but they are also fun to be playing with. I could just remember my first emotion when I played ball with my pet Fififishie (I was happy).  She's really cute and bubbly.
