Now Google is just as amazing as they have always been. Google Voice is now capable of Voice Transcription. However, Google Voice is available for GrandCentral users only. See demo video below.
GrandCentral, a phone management service that first launched in 2006 and was acquired by Google for $50+ million in 2007, hasn’t been in the news much lately. Other than a few good natured jabs at their marketing gimmicks and coverage of outages, that is. Get ready for that to change as the service prepares for a public launch under a new product name: Google Voice. (Read Original Post)
The new application improves the way you use your phone. You can get transcripts of your voicemail (see the video below) and archive and search all of the SMS text messages you send and receive. The main problem with all this is just how to get all your friends and business contacts to start using your google number instead of your normal one!
I think Avakit can solve this though!! It helped me a lot when I changed jobs… otherwise it would have been a nightmare to sit and think of every person in the world who I need to send my new contacts to! Now I just need to add my google number... highly recommend it
I'm also looking at google's new voice offerings, the place I work for already has some solutions to integrating this to our offerings. Thanks for posting those info.
